Have you ever just had a bad day? Have you ever felt lousy when you weren’t even sure why? Wouldn’t it be great to know how to be happy when you’re feeling crappy?
I made this video to help us understand a few things:
1. From the time we are little we are bombarded with messages about how we SHOULD act, look, behave. As women we have one set of ridiculous conflicting messages, and men don’t have it any easier.
2. It’s good to question everything! Jump off the merry go round long enough to ask “Why? – and “says who?”
3. The answer just may be because everybody is looking for the fabulous feeling that really comes from just following Two Commandments.
What do you think? Do you know how to relax, and reframe it all to be happy when you feel crappy? Please share your thoughts below.
I’m in your corner!!

HI GINA, THIS IS A GREAT MESSAGE, I HAVE LEARNED THROUGH MANY TRIALS OF LIFE, TO LOVE MYSELF, IN LOVING MYSELF, I AM LOVING GOD. GOD DWELLS IN ME. I WRITE BEAUTIFUL POETRY AND IT CENTERS AROUND LOVE, PEACE, PROSPERITY AND LIVING LIFE FULLY. I KNOW THAT HAVING AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE IS THE BEST THING WE CAN DO. THANKS. HAVE A GREAT DAY AND I WISH YOU ENOUGH.
Thanks so much for these comments! yes, loving ourselves is one way to love God!
I’m glad I bring a smile to you wonderful Rebels!
Great message Gina. What I’ve learned is that so often we don’t know how to love God because we don’t even know WHO he is. How do we love something we can’t see? How do we imagine Him? What is the image that comes to mind? What’s helped me is to know that God dwells within my heart, and when I focus on that and love myself I am in turn loving God. It can be tricky, no? Thanks for the reminder:)
Why? Says Who? Question the status quo? You ARE a rebel! 🙂 I’m loving God & trying to love others. Great message, Gina. Now, before I get sappy, I’m gonna take my nappy.
You know, I’m just going to have to start a taking a DAILY “Coach Gina” break. Things always look so much better, when I do. Thanks, Coach Gina; you are very wise.
Gina: You’re a dynamo! I love your energy. It’s outright infectious. Thank you for this terrific video; I’m bookmarking it, and flagging it for the next rocky day. Appreciate you sharing truth – it makes such a difference. There’s nothing like replacing all of those expectations, with two, simple and fulfilling ones. Love ya sis.
You’re so fun to watch Gina! So what you said sounds easy 🙂 you boiled it down to bite size and as they say “put the cookies on the bottom shelf” then why is it so hard? for me it’s because I have to retrain my self talk that is very used to “”me first”. Fascinating that true life is found when we ‘die’ to ourself. More of Him, Less of me. What would I be without God anyway? Thanks for a great reminder!
Oh J! Some days its hard for all of us. I’ve never heard the saying to put the cookies on the bottom shelf! hahaha I love it!
Gina,
I love, love how you break these truths in bite size, easy to understand pieces. All of the shoulds, blah….yuk! As Tony Robbins, we end up “shoulding” all over ourselves without stopping to look at our truth.
Keep preachin it sister:)
xo
Gina – you are always a joy to view on video. I love your writing, too, but there’s something about your smile that “walks the talk” when sharing with your audience about happiness and positivity. I’m sure all your coaching clients are beaming with results and a better life with ya!
No matter how high the chips are stacked against you, there is no reason to turn the direction of the sails to better waters, better adventures, and better attitude!
Gina each time I watch one of your videos; no matter what the topic; I come away enthused!!! Your energy level and your ability to project that through video just amazes me! Incredible insight; how we can boil down all of the messages to two simple ones! Loved this Gina!!
Thank you John, and thanks for sharing me with your wonderful tribe!
Yep!!! Love Wins!!!!
